10 Tips For Moms Of Children With Challenges To Stay Balanced

Here are 10 Tips for Moms of Children With Challenges to help them remember to care for themselves and stay balanced… to put on their oxygen masks and breathe so they can better support their struggling child.

1.  When your buttons get pushed, write on paper everything that is bothering you that pushed that button.  Get the energy OUT.  “Publish” it by writing it on a piece of paper.  BURN the paper.  This will transmute the energy.  Do this as often as needed.

2.  Spend at least 15 – 30 minutes a day nurturing your Spirit and raising your vibration.  Do what brings you joy.  Whatever that is for you (sing, nature walk, listen to calming music, playing with dog or cat, etc.).  Do something by yourself that you do for YOU.

3.  Develop and commit to a regular exercise routine at least 3 days/week.  Something you enjoy doing (yoga, walking, bicycling, running, etc.) MOVE your energy.

4.  Write your inner most thoughts, ideas, feelings in a journal at least 5 times per week.

5.  Develop a support system.  At least one other person you can trust that you can download and/or process verbally with on a regular basis.

6.  Develop a hobby – nurture your creative side without the need to be perfect or judge your abilities.

7.  “Play”.  Have lunch with friends at least twice a month.  Get out of the house, socialize, have fun.

8.  Read a fun book that YOU enjoy… fiction, non-fiction… to get you outside yourself.

9.  Find something everyday to appreciate and be GRATEFUL for in your life.  FEEL the feeling of gratitude.

10.  Put a daily/weekly affirmation on a dry erase board on your refrigerator to say and “feel” everyday that raises your Spirit.
